Once again The Churches in the Adur Valley (West Sussex) are holding a very exciting festival of flowers, music, art and agriculture. The last festival in 2006 was a huge success. Over 3 days, in our 3 churches, 3000 people attended, all with the most rave of reviews. The festival for 2008 promises to be bigger, brighter and much better.

We are raising funds to support the fabric of our three churches in the Adur Valley which are all ancient buildings, in constant daily

use by many people in the valley. Their non-stop use over hundreds of years has started a worrying deterioration.

To keep them standing we need to raise around £100,000. This festival will kick start our next fund raising push.

The Festival will be a long weekend of entertainment suitable for all ages. It will open on Friday evening with a champagne reception and first look at the displays, which allow emotions to be seen and felt in a world created by flowers art and special effects. See how joy, marriage, life & death, the countryside, happiness and all the other emotional milestones in life feel...

For the next three days St. Peter’s church will be open to visitors from 10.00am – 6.00pm (suggested entry £2.50 including a festival programme). We pride ourselves on offering a flower festival with a difference. We promise our displays and installations will amaze all your senses. Extensive refreshments will be served throughout each day from 10.00am (come for breakfast) at St Peter’s Church. In the evening concerts will be performed by local choirs and professional musicians.

The other two churches in the parish will also be involved. St Nicholas’ church at Bramber Castle will be staging an art exhibition featuring established local Sussex artists and talented amateurs from local art clubs (Free Entry). Various teas and cakes will be available.

St Botolph’s church in Botolphs village, surrounded by the beautiful South Downs, will present a display covering the countryside’s year, assisted by a local agricultural college. Light refreshments milestones available.
